workshop 2: Dance performance

Navarasa and Mindfulness (January Low)

17-18 April, 10-12.30pm GMT/ 11am - 1.30pm BST

About

In this workshop we will be using Guru Deba Prasad Das' Navarasa as a reference to study the essence of Rasas. January will share personal insights on how she develops Abhinaya by tapping into our own internal resources therefore creating a more natural, personalised delivery. She will also speak about the importance of body language (angika abhinaya) and how important it is to create depth and dimension in the art of story-telling.

This workshop will also cover the importance of mindful practice as it builds and strengthens focus, the key to a successful shared experience between rasika and performer.
